Where is the Tamar Valley?

The Tamar Valley is in Northern Tasmania, in the upper right of the State as shown on this Map.
The Tamar Valley begins at Launceston; and the Tamar River (as it is frequently called; however to be accurate it is the Tamar Estuary) is about 65kms long as it winds its way up to the top of Tassie and flows into the ocean – the Bass Strait. This is inbetween Greens Beach in the West Tamar, and Low Head in the East Tamar.

Where are the Artentwine Vineyards?

It’s around a 25 minute drive from Launceston via the West Tamar Highway to the southern most Artentwine vineyard Tamar Ridge Cellar Door.
